Our Vision

Our Aim

Ashford BME Association comprises of a small team of volunteers who are dedicated at supporting the BME and wider community.

Ashford BME Association is an association whose vision is to share, inspire and empower communities to encourage community cohesion, promote equality and diversity, reduce stigma and isolation.

 Ashford BME Association works to ensure that marginalised communities have a voice around social and health issues that affect them and make a big impact on their lives and how they engage with the wider community.

The aim of Ashford BME (Black and minority ethnic) Association is to target the BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) community and support to break down barriers, reduce social isolation, increase community integration, remove stigma and improve services for all age groups. We work with individuals and groups from the BAME and wider community to improve their health and well-being, enhance social, cultural and economic inclusion and support community cohesion.

You are invited to join us as we host this prestigious black tie annual dinner awards ceremony which will celebrate and recognize the wealth of achievement and talent across our BAME communities in Kent.

 

There will be a drinks reception, international 3 course meal, key speeches by eminent dignitaries, spectacular entertainment and most importantly the awards presentations.

Nominations close on the Friday 20th of October 2017

Volunteering is the commitment of time and energy, for the benefit of society and the community, the environment, or individuals outside one's immediate family. It is undertaken freely and without concern for financial gain.

 

Volunteering can give you the opportunity to try something new, gain experience, develop skills, improve your career prospects, build confidence and meet new people.
